Accessing the website and hosting

The website is hosted by Hostinger. When accessed, technically necessary connection data is processed, such as IP address, timestamp, requested address, browser information, and response status. This is for the delivery, error analysis, and security of the website. The basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable operation according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The hosting service provider processes this data within the scope of providing the service.

Messages and music submissions

If you use our form, we process the provided name, email address, message text, for music submissions up to three public track or profile links, as well as the desired language for follow-up questions. If you choose the browser language as the default, we save the supported language determined from it. The information is internally stored in WordPress and is not publicly accessible. We use it to process your request and for editorial review. Depending on the nature of the inquiry, this is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual or contractual inquiries or on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for processing other messages.

Submitting a music submission does not automatically lead to publication. Before publication, we clarify the content and usage rights separately. There is no automatic newsletter subscription.

Form protection

To limit abusive requests, a checksum protected by a server-side secret is generated from the IP address. The IP address is not stored in the editorial inbox. The checksum is used exclusively for time-limited request counting and expires after one hour without further requests. The basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in protecting against spam and overload.

Fonts, images and external services

The fonts and image files used are delivered by this website. Initially, no advertising pixels, analytics tools, external music players, or newsletter forms are integrated. External links only become active upon your visit to the respective website. The data protection information of the respective provider applies there.

Technically necessary functions

For registered members and administrators, WordPress uses login and security features, including technically necessary cookies. These are not used for advertising. For normal magazine browsing, the own theme does not set analysis or marketing cookies.

Data retention

We store requests for as long as necessary for their processing and, if applicable, for documenting a collaboration. After that, they are deleted, unless there are legal storage obligations or legitimate reasons for further storage. Technical logs and backups are subject to the hosting’s operational and deletion processes; they are not used as a permanent visitor profile.

Your rights

You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability in accordance with the legal requirements. If processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object for reasons relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you may revoke it with effect for the future.

For inquiries, please contact the contact address provided above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, in particular with the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information: datenschutz-berlin.de.

Changes to the service

Information about user accounts, registration functions, and personal music submissions is found in the section „CCCP RAP member account and personal music submissions“.

CCCP RAP member account and personal music submissions

If you create a CCCP RAP account, we will process your email address, an automatically assigned username, the password stored by WordPress in hashed form, and your chosen language. The account allows you to log in and view your own music submissions and their editorial processing status. WordPress will send necessary service emails to your address for setting and resetting your password. There is currently no paid membership, no coins, no newsletter subscription, and no publication through the account.

If you are logged in during registration and submit music, we will associate the submission with your account. The stored information includes the contact details provided, up to three public links, the message, and your language settings. These are not public and are used only for account functionality, as well as for editing and editorial review of the submission. To provide the account you requested and its functions, we process the necessary information for pre-contractual measures or contract fulfillment (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The account details are stored as long as the account exists. When a request for account deletion is submitted, we will delete the account and check the associated submissions for deletion or anonymization, provided there are no legal storage obligations or necessary evidence required for processing and defending claims. You can request deletion via info@cccp-rap.com or through the contact page. Technically necessary WordPress login credentials are used for logging in; no activities are analyzed for advertising profiles.
